Captain Kevin Klar - USA
Captain Kevin hails from New Orleans and embodies the charm and hospitality of the “Big Easy.” He has captained yachts for over 20 years and has cruised the waters of the Mediterranean to the Pacific and all the places and ports in between. He previously worked for the owner of BIG PLAY for seven years and more recently on OHANA for 5 years. Captain Kevin is a PADI Dive Master and a big promoter of all the water toys on board Lady Bee. Ask Kevin about his best charter experiences and there is always fun “on” or “in’ the water involved in story. You can’t go wrong with Captain Kevin in charge. He enjoys his repeat charter clients, having completed many successful years of charting in Europe, New England, The Bahamas and the Caribbean with very enthusiastic clients on board. Kevin has had families walk away with great memories and experiences of that true “fun in the sun” charter.
Chef Terence Booth – UK
Terence was born and bred in South London in Wandsworth. He started working in restaurants by chance when he was hired for the weekend as a dishwasher. At the time, he was a college student studying Graphic Design and thought this would be a start to help with his finances. Soon realizing after graduation, that there was more creativity with food than with Media Arts, he went to study at Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Arts School in London. He’s been tantalizing those taste buds on the ocean for the past 10 years. To unwind, he enjoys golf, golf and more golf!
Chief Stewardess - Lisa Donnelly - USA
Originally from the beautiful state of New Hampshire, she moved to South Florida 20 years ago and began exporting classic European cars learning every aspect of vintage Mercedes, Jaguars, Austin Healy’s, etc. as well as sales & shipping between countries. Intrigued with the places she sold to, she discovered a way to travel and work. Lisa has now been in the yachting industry for 10 years, and aboard Lady Bee since the summer of 2010. She is conversant in wine, is PADI dive-certified and loves the travel & the sea. She has crossed the Atlantic, been through the Panama Canal, to the Pacific, The Med, Caribbean and all the Great Lakes. Her dream trip is to get to Alaska! Lisa extends her hospitality to all guests, wishing to make their stay luxuriously relaxing, fun and memorable.
First Mate Andy Lauer – USA
Andy was born and raised in Philadelphia. He began boating when he was very young with his families’ boat on the Chesapeake Bay. Previous to yachting, he was an Entertainment Director on a small cruise ship in PA and moved to Florida in 2004 to pursue his career. He is now PADI certified and in 2011, he received his Captains license. Yachting has taken him to the US East Coast, the Caribbean, Gulf of Mexico and the Mediterranean Sea. He has now been yachting for 8 years. Andy is an avid cycler, enjoys traveling and entertaining.
Engineer Thomas Bagwell – USA
A Virginia native, Thomas began boating at a young age on the Chesapeake Bay and its many creeks and rivers. From his first boat, a tiny rowboat at age 10, he later learned how to sail and operate larger powerboats all while enjoying water sports and fishing from Virginia’s Eastern Shore. He once completed a circumnavigation by ship, which included stops in Africa and Asia. In 2010, Thomas moved to Fort Lauderdale to continue his passion for boats. Since then he has worked as an Engineer and Mate on yachts in the Bahamas, Florida, New England and the Mediterranean. Thomas is a certified diver and enjoys fishing, traveling and weightlifting.
Stewardess / Dive Instructor Jenn Allen – New Zealand
Jenn was born and raised in Nelson, New Zealand. Spending many family vacations fishing and snorkeling at a young age, she developed a life-long passion for the water. In 2005 Jenn spent a year diving on shipwrecks around the coasts of New Zealand to gain her PADI Scuba Diving Instructor qualification. She spent the next 3 years in Tropical North Queensland, Australia teaching PADI Open Water Courses on the Great Barrier Reef. Taking the next step in her career on the ocean, Yacht Atlantica became her new home for 14 months allowing her to enjoy the Caribbean and Bahamas above and below the water. Jenn joined Lady Bee in December 2011 and looks forward to sharing her passion of travelling with you to make your stay an amazing experience.
Stewardess Elizabeth Pecnik- USA
Elizabeth was born and raised in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Spending most of her free time traveling, reading, relaxing and enjoying what South Florida has to offer. A graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York and Florida Atlantic University, Elizabeth then spent some time in New York and living in Vienna, Austria where she taught English to German speaking students. Elizabeth has 8 years experience in the hospitality industry. She joined Lady Bee earlier this year and is excited and ready for this next adventure. She looks forward to making your stay aboard fun and memorable that will last a lifetime.
Deckhand Steven Wright – USA
Steven was born in the small Port City of Oswego, New York. He grew up on Lake Ontario and Alexandria Bay, which is where he gained his love for the water. Steven has crossed the Atlantic, cruising as far East as the Greek Isles of the Mediterranean and as far West as the Pacific Ocean. He has also cruised the Panama Canal and spent time in South America. Steven is an avid motorcycle enthusiast and spends his spare time long- boarding down by the beach.
